Ibid

Keyna Wilkins (piano, flute) & Shane Carpini (drums)

“Exploratory, almost wall-of-sound, invention of consistently high quality.”
Jazz Journal (UK)

★★★★★ “A captivating, expansive musical experience.”
Sydney Arts Guide

Ibid brings together composer-performers Keyna Wilkins and Shane Carpini in a dynamic blend of jazz, classical and folk influences. Their stream-of-consciousness improvisations and original works draw inspiration from philosophy, astronomy and human behaviour, creating music that is both deeply intuitive and richly imaginative.

Since forming in 2021, the duo has performed throughout NSW and released two acclaimed albums: Spaces In Between (2022) and Chance Encounters (2024). Wilkins, an Australian-British composer and multi-instrumentalist, has twice been a finalist for the Australian Art Music Awards for Individual Excellence. Carpini is one of Sydney’s most distinctive drummers and composers, known for his versatility and creative approach.

dos+

Laura Chislett (flute) & Brad Gill (vibraphone)

Formed to explore spontaneous collaboration and sonic dialogue between flute and vibraphone, dos+ creates immersive and deeply responsive improvised music. Since their debut, the duo has been featured on 2MBS FM and PBS Melbourne’s The Sound Barrier.

In July 2025, dos+ released their self-titled debut album on Bandcamp: Listen to dos+.

Recent performances include Stadium Rockdale and a collaborative concert with renowned koto player Satsuki Odamura at The Church, Alexandria. Their music moves fluidly between texture, melody and interaction, revealing new possibilities at every performance.

Come experience two unique approaches to improvisation in one memorable evening.
