BEAT workshop with Aarne Neeme
Shape the scene. Build the arc.

As part of LRT ARTIST SALONS & WORKSHOPS 2026

BEATS is a deep dive into the mechanics of performance with legendary director Aarne Neeme.

This workshop takes you inside the engine room of scene work. Beats (or units) are the varying steps taken by the characters to mark the audience’s journey through the meaning of the play. Drawing from Constantin Stanislavski, and Neeme’s decades‑long practice, participants learn to break a script into units of action, find the pulse of a moment, and score a scene with precision and clarity.

This workshop gives performers the tools to shape the scene, play into the scene, and build a theatrical arc that is alive, responsive, and grounded in truthful action.
