A supergroup is usually a wonderful idea,
but if the members all live in different Aust cities,
live shows can be difficult to organise!
So the Republic is more than thrilled to announce
that after a year’s planning this amazing quartet
has been able to coordinate to join us for an exclusive Sydney show
PRESENTED BY THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC
Comprising some of Australia’s foremost experimental practitioners, Tremulant is immersive improvised noise textures inspired by foggy seascapes, disappeared women and lost masterpieces.
Cat Hope, Bass Guitar (VIC)
Lisa MacKinney, Guitar (VIC)
Tina Havelock Stevens, Drums (NSW)
Gabriella Smart, ROLI Seaboard MIDI / Electric Crystal (SA)
Each performance by improvisatory supergroup Tremulant is a unique sonic journey.
Drummer Tina Havelock Stevens (The Mumps, Plug Uglies), bassist Cat Hope (Gata Negra, Super Luminum), and guitarist Lisa MacKinney (Mystic Eyes, Super Luminum) join pianist Gabriella Smart with her Electric Crystal to create thrilling music of radical beauty.
Audiences will be treated to anything from spectral ambience to thunderous dissonance, but always an immersive, compelling experience.
