Scattered Order – Still Your Mind Album Launch

Scattered Order return to The People’s Republic to launch their new album, Still Your Mind.

With its hypnotic combination of beats, synthesizers, samples and vocals, Still Your Mind explores themes of loneliness and despair. It captures that unnerving sense of being hemmed in and claustrophobic, when things seem not quite right, yet you continue searching for a glimmer of hope just beyond the next bend. It is that hope that keeps you moving forward.

For this special one-off performance, Mitch Jones and Shane Fahey will be joined by Tim Fagan (baritone and tenor saxophone, flute and percussion).

The first copies of the limited-edition vinyl release will be available on the night.

Opening the evening is the duo Delays Have Dangerous Ends.

Improvising science-fiction-inspired ambient music through guitars, keyboards and effects, guitarist Matthew Syres draws on years of experience in experimental, industrial and post-rock music, while keyboardist Genevieve Von Black blends elements of jazz, doom, heavy rock and contemporary classical music.

Imagine the darker reaches of The Necks, Nick Cave, Alister Spence, Vangelis, Earth, Oren Ambarchi, Alice Coltrane, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Cluster, Sunn O))), Merzbow, science fiction and Nordic noir.
