The Open Room is The Living Room Theatre’s development and showcasing initiative, part of our White Chair program. For 25 years, we’ve created theatre and music performances that champion courageous, necessary storytelling.

The Open Room invites artists and audiences into intimate, dialogic spaces where ideas are explored, challenged, and brought to life. Through artist development labs, critical showings, and public conversations, emerging voices are nurtured and creative processes shared. Work developed extends beyond the stage, including features in a post-program magazine, creating a lasting dialogue with the public.
