Jo has a Bachelor of Dramatic Art Technical Production (NIDA) and a Masters of Design Science Illumination (Sydney University). She is currently working as an Architectural Lighting Designer for Bassett and has previously been involved with projects such as the Belvoir St Theatre and Sydney Opera House upgrades.

Her lighting design credits include: Theatre of Image, Happy Prince (NSW & VIC tour); Pixel and Friends (Power House Museum Sydney); Tales from the Arabian Nights (NSW & VIC tour); Robinson Crusoe (Adelaide Festival Centre) and Go Pinocchio (NSW & VIC tour); Sydney Festival 2007 & 2008, Triffids, A Secret in the Shape of a Song & House of the Holy Afro (Metro Theatre Sydney); Pieter Dirk Uys, Elections and Erections (Power House, Brisbane); Lingalayam Dance Company’s The Serpent Woman, (Canberra Playhouse & Parramatta Riverside) and The Tempest (Everest Theatre Seymour Centre); Credo Canvas (Stables Theatre) and the Tracking Kultja Festival (National Museum, Canberra); Associate Lighting Designer for Testimony (Australian Art Orchestra, Sydney Opera House); Assistant to the Lighting Designer for the 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies.
