Celebrating 25 Years
The Tales project is an evocative project that brings the vibrant, multifaceted experiences of women in the Inner West to life through a series of filmed and live vignettes. Set against the backdrop of iconic local landmarks this project captures the essence of the community while delving into profound themes of violence, trauma, beauty, and resilience.
Each vignette combines movement, music, theatre, and film to explore and express the rich narratives of women’s lives. By integrating artistic expression with deep empathy, “The Tales Project”aims to restore dignity and foster a stronger connection between the audience and their own stories.
Craeted by Michelle St Anne, known for transforming everyday spaces into extraordinary stages for over two decades, this project embodies our commitment to making art accessible and engaging for all. We will leverage a comprehensive social media campaign to keep the local community informed about our shooting locations and schedules, inviting their active participation.
Upon the project’s completion, we will host a special viewing night, offering locals, visitors, and business owners an opportunity to experience the work up close and perhaps see reflections of their own lives within it. “The Tales Project” is not just a celebration of art; it is a tribute to community spirit and the transformative power of storytelling.
